State Representative Harold L. Haugh is serving his first term in the Michigan House of Representatives representing the 42nd District, which covers parts of Eastpointe, Fraser and Roseville.
Haugh has deep roots in the Roseville community and has served as an elected official for more than 20 years, including as a member of the Roseville Planning Commission, and the Roseville City Council, as chairman of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and most recently as the mayor of Roseville.
In 2006, Haugh was appointed to the Commission on Higher Education and Economic Development in Macomb County by Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm.
In addition, Haugh is a 40-year employee of General Motors. In 1968, he joined the company as a mailroom clerk and worked his way up to become the assistant director of General Motors' International Regulations Department.
Haugh and his wife, Catherine, have four adult children and three grandchildren. They are members of St. Athanasius Catholic Community and Haugh is a member of Father Solanus Casey Knights of Columbus.
