LANSING – State Representative Harold L. Haugh (D-Roseville) was sworn in to his first term in the Michigan House of Representatives on Wednesday during a ceremony at the State Capitol marking the beginning of the 95th Legislature.
"It is an honor to serve as the voice of our community in Lansing and I'm eager to roll up my sleeves and get to work," said Haugh, who represents the 42nd House District, which includes the cities of Roseville, Fraser and Eastpointe. "I will work every day to create more good-paying jobs for our workers who have lost their jobs to outsourcing and downsizing, and I will fight to strengthen our schools so our children have every opportunity to succeed in the 21st century economy. Today marks a new day in Michigan, and I'm committed to tackling the challenges facing our state head on."
Haugh encourages residents to contact his office if he or his staff can be of any assistance, or if they have any comments, concerns or ideas to share.
Residents can contact Haugh any of the following ways: by calling (517) 373-0854; by fax at (517) 373-5911; by e-mail at HaroldHaugh@house.mi.gov; or by postal mail at P.O. Box 30014, Lansing, MI 48909-7514. They can also visit his Web site, haugh.housedems.com
